The procedure for seat allocation through online websites

 

JEE AdvancedCandidates who qualify the JEE (Advanced) will be shortlisted for the online undergraduate courses in ISM/IIT Dhanbad. Candidates will be required to register online among the various choice-filling course options available. Registering for a course through online is not at all difficult. One only needs to choose the UG programs among the given options followed by the online payment. After uploading the relevant documents the seat is allotted to the candidate. The entire procedure will be easily carried out through the Joint Online Choice-filling and Seat Allocation Portal on the JEE website 2014. This site will be activated from the 20th of this month. It will be operative till the allocation processes end.

On the declaration of the Result of JEE (Advanced ) candidates can get to access the website in order to view their ranking in the merit list as well as the category they belong to. Moreover, shortlisted students will able to use the JOCSAP in order to fill their choices from the available undergraduate courses offered by ISM and IIT. The JEE Advanced counselling process will start from the 20th June through the online choice filling.

In JEE Advanced there will be 3 rounds for the course allocation. The declaration for the 1st round of course allocation in JEE (Advanced)-2014 will be on JOCSAP and it will be out by the 1st of July 2014. Again, the 2nd course allotment round declaration will be made by the 8th of July, 2014. Lastly, the declaration for the third round will be out by the 12th of July, 2014. The candidates will need to visit the website of JOCSAP after the end of each round in order to get knowledge about the allotted course. At times it is possible that the allotment gets changed in the next round for betterment in comparison to the previous allotment. It depends on the number of seats being declined by students who have been offered in the previous round.

Choice filling facility for the course is opened till the 24th of June, 2014, 5 pm. No modification or new choice filling will be accepted beyond the deadline. A student can fill as much choices as he want from the available course options on the basis of his performance as well as the intake capacity. Re-order of choices is possible and candidates who wish to delete the previous choice and opt for new ones can do it easily. Candidates can re-order as many times as he wants until the final choices are locked.

The amount of Rs. 60,000 will be required to pay by the students belonging to the OBC and GE categories. Again, the ST, SC and PWD candidates will need to pay Rs. 20,000 as a part of the admission charge. Apart from this, candidates will also need to upload the required documents properly as the support of eligibility.
