No Change in IIT – JEE  Pattern in Year 2014

IIT Joint Admission Board declared that the eligibility for the admission in Indian Institute of Technology will not change and remain as it is for 2014 entrance exam. They made a detailed review of the 2013 exam pattern and decided not to make any changes for the coming year. They have also made it clear that there is no change in the pattern too.

Students appearing in 2014 have to clear two–tier exam. JEE-Main and JEE Advanced. Successful students also have to be among the top-20 percentile scorers in their Class XII exams of their respective Boards.

A proposal was sent to review 20 percentile criteria, but the JAB told that there was not enough data to defend the “allegation” that the system is wrong.

Next JAB meeting is likely to be held on Sept 15 at IIT-KGP where the matter would be discussed again. The JEE (Main) could be held on April 6 2014 and IIT-JEE (Advanced) could be held on May 25 2014.
