1st week of March, 2019 (Tentative) is the last date to apply for BITSAT 2019
BITS Pilani has released the Information Brochure for its entrance test. BITSAT 2019 application form is now available and one can fill it up online and submit it by 1st week of March, 2019
The exam will screen students for admission to various undergraduate science, pharmacy and engineering programs offered by Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses of Birla Institute or Technology & Sciences (BITS).
The institute also offers direct admission to board toppers across India in the course of their choice.
On September 24, The Hindu Business Line reported that the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) is planning to increase its focus on research as well as industry engagement to achieve its goal to be in Top 25 Technology Institutions in Asia by 2020.
BITS Vice-Chancellor B.N. Jain also said that over the next five years, over 1,000 crore will be invested by the institution to renovate the Pilani campus and expand its Goa and Hyderabad campuses.
In 2010, 1,39,000 students took BITSAT to compete for 2,000 seats available showing an increase of 13% over 2009. But only 97,000 students took BITSAT 2011. The number of students who took BITSAT in 2012 rose to respectable 1,36,000. 2014 has been the best year though as more than 1,66,000 students competed for over 2,200 seats.

Cricketer Rahul Dravid was the chief guest of Birla institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, where 687 students were awarded degrees and five received their PhDs.
BITS Pilani K.K.Birla Goa Campus has pioneered several things including practice schools, a dedicated technology incubator, a unique multi-campus education model, and innovative research projects.
Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, D. Purandeshwari, headed the BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus convocation. There 613 students were awarded degrees, out of which 561 received Bachelor degrees, 48 received Master degrees and four received doctorate degrees. The Union Minister urged the students to be passionate about India and bridge the gap between rural and urban India.
