The JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination ) Advanced which is the door for entering the Under Graduate Programmes in Engineering, Architecture and Science at the various IITs has been scheduled on 20th May, 2018 which is a Sunday. The examination comprises two papers with each carrying distinct sections in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The time schedule for the papers is as under:
Paper-1 : 9 am to 12 noon (IST)
Paper-2: 2 pm to 5 pm (IST).
As soon as the result of JEE (Main) -2018 is announced, the top 2,24,000 (including all categories) rankers will be eligible to apply for the JEE (Advanced) 2018. Application procedure includes online registration at http://jeeadv.iitd.ac.in/ followed by submission of the registration fees through Bank Challan.
The registration fee for the different categories is enlisted below:
General and OBC :Rs.2000
Male applicants of the SC/ST/PwD : Rs.1000
overseas applicants: US $ 200/
Females are exempted from the registration fee
In addition to a centre at Dubai, 99 centres have been fixed for conducting the examination. The classification of the centres on a zonal basis is given below:
IIT Bombay Zone which covers Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
IIT Delhi Zone which covers Delhi, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh
IIT Guwahati Zone which includes Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, West Bengal and UAE
IIT Kanpur Zone comprising MadhyaPradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh
IIT Kharagpur Zone covering Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa, Sikkim, Tripura and West Bengal
IIT Madras Zone including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherryand Tamil Nadu
IIT Roorkee Zone includes Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh
