NEET (AIPMT) 2018 Paper PatternThe CBSE will conduct NEET (AIPMT) 2018 examination in lieu of NEET UG 2018 as per the directives of the Supreme Court on 6th of May, 2018. However, NEET (AIPMT) exam pattern will be the same as NEET 2018 exam format. On this page, you will find all that you need to know about NEET (AIPMT) pattern 2018 including its duration, number of questions asked in the exam and language of the question paper.

NEET (AIPMT) 2018 Exam Pattern Details











  • The duration of the NEET (AIPMT) 2018 question paper is 3 hours (180 minutes) in which students have to solve 180 objective-type questions. Roughly, students get less than a minute to solve one question of the exam.

  • The exam pattern for NEET (AIPMT) 2018 specifies that the test will have 45 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology.

  • Each question will have four options – with only one correct answer. The students will have to mark the answers in machine-gradable answer sheets using Ball Point Pen only.

Language of the Question Paper

When apply for NEET (AIPMT) 2018, candidates have to choose whether they want to appear for the paper in English or Hindi. One cannot change his or choice of language later.

  • Those who opt for English paper will receive Test Booklet only in English.

  • Those who opt for Hindi paper will receive Test Booklet which will have questions both in Hindi and English. In case of any ambiguity, English version of the question should be solved.

  • Best way to be familiar with the NEET (AIPMT) exam pattern 2018 is to solve previous years’ NEET (AIPMT) and NEET UG papers.

  • Do not fold the answer sheet or make any stray marks on it or machine may not grade it correctly

How to Handle the Test Booklet & Answer Sheet?

  • You will receive the sealed test booklet 15 minutes before the exam. One should fill in the details on the cover page with the Blue or Black Ball Point Pen only. However, they should take care not to open the booklet until invigilator asks you to do so.

  • Invigilators will ask you to open the seal 5 minutes before the exam. As soon as you open it, check that the Test Booklet Code on the Side 2 of the Answer Sheet is same as on the booklet. In case of any discrepancy, candidates should immediately ask the invigilator for a new Answer Sheet.

  • Fill in details on both sides of the answer sheet (using ball point pen), such as:

1) Roll Number

2) Name of the candidate

3) Father’s Name

4) Centre Number

5) Name of the Examination Centre

6) Test Booklet Number

7) Signature of the candidate

8) Make sure that all your details are correct before submitting the answer sheet.
