INMO (Indian National Mathematical Olympiad) is the second stage in the IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad). If you clear this stage you will be eligible for IMO training camp at the HBCSE (Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education). INMO is a four-hour long test that includes 6 questions. Students of Classes 8 to 12 are eligible for this olympiad. You have to solve the questions on paper, including explanations, and proper reasoning. Every year almost 900 students are selected all across India to participate in INMO. Out of these 900, only 35 students are selected for the training camp.
At askIITians, you can find the past year's papers for INMO and practice for this olympiad. We have provided year-wise papers for INMO for your reference along with their stepwise solutions. Now you can solve all your doubts regarding the past papers immediately.

INMO syllabus includes topics like arithmetic of integers, geometry, quadratic equations and expressions, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, the system of linear equations, permutations and combination, factorization of polynomials, inequalities, elementary combinatorics, probability theory and number theory, finite series, complex numbers, and elementary graph theory. The major areas from which problems are given are algebra, combinatorics, geometry, and number theory.
100 Class 12 students are selected for INMO. 500 students in Classes 8 to 11 are selected for INMO. Then, only 30-35 candidates are selected for the IMO training camp.
Olympiads not only test your knowledge but help you improve your analytical skills, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. It helps you understand your potential in a subject and gives you a chance to connect with like-minded students from all over the country.
From the 2021-2022 cycle of IMO, the first stage comprises the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) (RMO and PRMO are combined to form IOQM). It is a three-hour test that includes numerical answer-type questions where the answer to each question is an integer in the range 00-99.
