KVPY Syllabus 2026

KVPY Syllabus 2026Initiated by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” was a national programme designed to encourage students with an aptitude for scientific research. The KVPY Aptitude Test was conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, for students pursuing basic sciences. However, the KVPY Aptitude Test has not been conducted from 2022 onwards. The KVPY programme was subsequently subsumed into the INSPIRE-SHE component of the Department of Science and Technology's INSPIRE programme.

There is no KVPY 2026 examination or current KVPY 2026 syllabus because the KVPY Aptitude Test is no longer conducted. The syllabus information given below is retained as historical reference for students, teachers and aspirants looking for the pattern and subject coverage of the discontinued KVPY examination.

  • Stream SA: In the historical KVPY Stream SA examination, the KVPY exam covered the corresponding science syllabus of Class XI.

  • Stream SX: In the historical KVPY Stream SX examination, the KVPY exam covered all the corresponding science syllabus of Class XII.

  • Stream SB: In the historical KVPY Stream SB examination, candidates were tested on the corresponding science syllabus of the first year of undergraduate study, including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry of 1st year B.Sc. /B.S. /B.Stat. /B.Math. /Int. M.Sc. /M.S., as applicable.
