DA-IICT: The Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology

With its base at Gandhinagar in Gujarat, the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT) indicates the shift of focus onto higher education in the state. Established in 2001, it was named after the late founder of the prestigious Reliance Group. DA-IICT gained the status of a private University in 2003 under the State Act of Gujarat and in the very next year, it was included in the list of UGC universities.
