SASTRA University Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Admission 2018

• Candidates willing to apply for the SASTRA University B.Tech Admissions 2018 must have cleared the 10+2 exam with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects along with lone of these as optional, Bio-Technology/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biology

• Candidates must have to be an Indian and have passed the qualifying exam from any of the Central Board/ State Board or any other equivalent institution with a minimum score of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics all together

• The eligibility criteria for the vocational students depends on the theory subjects taken

• Candidates with diploma in Technology/ Engineering are also eligible for the direct admissions to the 2^nd year of B.Tech programmes offered by SASTRA University

SASTRA University B.Tech Admission Application form

• The SASTRA University B.Tech Admissions 2018 Application Form can be obtained from various sources:

• Candidates can visit the SASTRA University campus at Kumbakonam or Thanjavur or at No.5, Subbaraya Nagar, Chennai and can obtain the application form by paying cash amount of Rs.600

• The application forms are also available at the branches of City Union Bank and Indian Overseas Bank

• Candidates can also obtain the application forms by post after paying a DD of Rs. 650 drawn in favor of ‘SASTRA’ payable at Thanjavur. The DD shall be sent at the address below.

SASTRA University B.Tech 2018 Application Fees

Candidates are required to pay the application fees of Rs.600 (in person) and Rs.650 (if sent through DD)
 

Selection Procedure for SASTRA University B.Tech Admission 2018

• 70% of candidates shall be selected on the basis of the scores secured in JEE Main 2018 along with the scores of 10+2 board examinations

• For the remaining 30% of the candidates the aggregate +2 marks shall be considered for the admissions

• The ranks shall be derived by taking an aggregate of 75% weight-age to the normalized aggregate +2 marks and 25% weight-age from the JEE Main scores
   

SASTRA University Fees Structure

• Tuition fees Rs.55,000/- (per semester)

• Development fees Rs.10,000/- (one-time payment at the time of admission)

• Sports and unit test fees Rs. 1,000/- (one-time payment at the time of admission)

• Special fees, Registration fees, Medical Exam fees, etc (Rs 6000 (one-time payment)
   

SASTRA University Counselling 2018

Counseling procedure for Admissions into B.Tech courses offered by SASTRA University shall be held during of Third week of June 2018. Seats shall be allotted to the candidates strictly on the basis of the ranks scored.
