Some wonderful tips to score the highest marks in the JEE Main exam:

  • Devote more time to Chapters with the Most Weightage

In JEE Main exam, the most important topics in Math are Coordinate Geometry, Algebra, and Calculus. In Physics, the most important topics are Modern Physics, Mechanics, and Electricity & Magnetism.

In Organic Chemistry, the most important topics are Reactions, Mechanisms, and Stereochemistry. In Physical Chemistry, the most important topics are Gaseous and Liquid States, Atomic Structure, and Chemical Bonding. In Inorganic Chemistry, the most important topics are Periodic Table, Transition Elements, and Coordination Compounds.

  • Prepare a Formulae Sheet

Chapter-wise formulae sheets help you revise important topics quickly. You can refer to these formula sheets while solving mock tests and previous years' papers.

You should try to see derivations of all the important formulae and write them down in your own words. This will help you understand the concepts better and also save a lot of time during the exam.

  • Know how to apply what you learn

It is not enough to just mug up the formulas and theories. You should also know how to apply them to solve problems. For this, you can solve plenty of JEE Main practice papers and mock tests. This will help you understand the application of concepts better and also improve your problem-solving skills.

Calculus, for example, is used extensively in Physics and Chemistry. So, make sure you understand the concepts of Calculus well and know how to apply them to solve problems.

Knowing how you can use the concepts to solve problems will also keep you motivated and help you score the highest marks in JEE Main exam.

  • Besides Formulae Sheets, Include Lists of Theories, Equations, and Definitions, and Mind Maps in Revision Notes

Revision notes help you revise important topics quickly. Make sure you include all the important formulae, theories, equations, and mind maps in your revision notes.

Make a separate notebook for each type of list or element of chapters you study.

  • Practice and Analyze

Whether you solve daily practice papers, sample papers, mock tests, or previous years' JEE Main question papers, take some time to analyze your performance. Doing so will help you understand your strong and weak areas, and give you copious hints on how you can fine-tune your JEE Main exam preparation strategy.
