The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national-level scholarship program in India to identify and recognize students with high intellect and academic talent. It is one of the most prestigious exams in India and is conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

 

NTSE 2021 Exam Postponement Notification

 

On December 15, 2021, NCERT Education Survey Division announced that NTSE 2021-2022 Stage-I and Stage-II exams have been postponed and a fresh schedule will be announced soon.

 

Notification about NTSE Stage-II Exam Scoring Keys

 

The scoring keys of the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of the NTSE Stage-II exam, conducted on October 21, 2021, were published online. Students submitted their feedback, queries, comments and observations about these scoring keys from November 30 to December 10, 2021. The committee deliberate on each question and published the final keys on February 2, 2022.

 

NTSE 2021 Stage 2 Exam Final Result Notification

 

On February 18, 2022, the final result for NTS Stage-II Examination held on October 21, 2021, was declared online at 5 pm. Students could see it on the official NCERT website. The students were selected for the final list category-wise. Students could access their results according to their category - General, Other Backward Class (OBC0, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Economical Weaker Section (EWS). Within each category, students get a reservation for benchmarked disabilities.

The minimum qualifying marks and the cut-off for NTSE 2021 for General category students was 140. For OBC candidates, the NTSE 2021 cut-off was 122. For SC students, it was 113. For ST students, the cut-off was 105. The cut-off for EWS candidates was 109.

 

E-Award Letter Notification for NTS 2021 Awardees

 

On April 28, 2022, the e-Award Letters for NTS 2021 awardees were published online. Candidates also received the Certificate of Merit and details about the disbursement of the scholarship.

 

When to check for NTSE 2022 notifications?

 

Dates for NTSE 2022-2023 have not been announced yet. But you can check the NTSE Important Dates 2022 to see when you are likely to get the notification.

The NTSE application process is expected to start in August. The last date to apply for the scholarship will be announced a month before the exam date which is usually in October or November. We will update this page as soon as any official announcement is made by NCERT.
