Dear Student,
Polarization is a property that is connected just to transvere waves on the grounds that in a transverse wave the heading of the swaying is transverse to the course of the movement. There will be diverse headings of the motions opposite to the wave bearing. Subsequently light being a transverse wave in spite of the fact that might be unpolarised at source can be captivated by polarization by changing the plane of vibration.
Cheers!!
