When one mirror is moved by 0.5 mm, the path length is increased by 1.0 mm.
That is 1.0 mm / 2000 fringes,
or 0.00050 mm per fringe.
That is, 5.0 x 10-7 m = 500 nm
= 5000 angstroms.
