The apparent weight of an object increases in an elevator while accelerating upward. A moongphaliwala sells his moongphali using a beam balance in an elevator. Will he gain more if the elevator is accelerating up?

Dear student,

Since the apparent weight of moongphali would increase when measured in an elevator accelerating upwards, lesser amount of moongphali would also weigh more and hence the seller would be selling lower mass of product at higher price and hence he will be gaining more.
