Hey piyush,
Isopropyl alcohol [ (CH3)2CH-OH ] , can be prepared by :
1. Hydration of Propene
CH3CH=CH2 + H2O + acid (catalyst) -------> (CH3)2CH-OH .... (markovnikoffs addition)
2. Reduction of propanone by LiAlH4 or catalytic hydeogenation.
3. Oxymercuration demercuration of Propene.

1. reaction with sulfuric acid.
CH3CH=CH2+H2SO4--------->SULFATE ESTERS------->(on hydrolysis by steam) iso proryl alcohol.
2.hydration of propene(markovnikoffs addition)
CH3CH=CH2 + H2O + acid (catalyst) -------> isopropyl alcohol.
3.Hydrogenation of acetone
Crude acetone is hydrogenated in the liquid phase over raney nickel or a mixture of copper and chromium oxide to give isopropyl alcohol.
