Dear Student,
There can be many instances of what an and b can be.
The essential hit and trial if a=i and b=j the appropriate response will be 1. On the off chance that both are a similar way the appropriate response will be 2.However,
in the event that we consider the extent of |a+b| and |2a-b|
AM>=GM
=>(|a+b|+|2a-b|)/2>= √(|a+b||2a-b|)
=>(taking the most extreme esteems) 3/2 >= √(|a+b||2a-b|)
=>(|a+b||2a-b|)
In this way, the esteem can never be 3.
Cheers!!
