The resonance frequency of a series resonance circuit is
w=\frac{1}{\sqrt{LC}}
L=8mH=8×10-3H and C=20uF=20×10-6F
So w=2500 rad/s
At resonance the capacitive and inductive voltages cancel out each other,ie,VL=-VC.
so Vsupply=VR+VL+VC=VR
so current through the resistance
IR=VR/R=Vsupply/R =220/44=5.5A
