O² is paramagnetic. Can be explained by MOT (Molecular Orbital Theory).
As O² has 16 electrons
Writing it's electronic configuration acc to MOT
Let's suppose
¢ -Sigma Orbital
π-pie orbital
¢¹s, ¢*1s ¢²s¢*²s¢2pz²|π2px²||π*2px¹|
                                        |π2py²||π*2py¹|

As O² has 2 unpaired electrons.
So it is Paramagnetic.

Hope it will help you.
