Ques. : A particle is moving with a speed u at time t=0 and is decelerated at the rate proportional to the square root of its velocity at time t with constant of proportionality K.Find the time when the particle comes to rest.

Dear Rohan, 

dv/dt=-k√v, dv/√v =-kdt, 2√v =-kt+c, v=u when t=0, so 2√v=-kt+2√u, v=0 when kt=2√u, t=2√u/k
