Normality of 2% H2SO4 solution by volume is nearly:

a) 2 c) 0.2

b) 4 d) 0.4

Dear Raghavendra,

Molecular mass = approx 2 + 32 + 64 = 98
Density = 1.83 gm/cc
Therefore 1000cc would weigh 1830gm
1830/98 = 18.67
Therefore, concentrated sulphuric acid is approx 18.67 Molar
But each mole contributes 2 H+
Therefore concentrated sulphuric acid is about 37 Normal.
Note: this is a rather careless application of the term 'normality'. which is now outdated (it is more correct to refer to the concentration of H3O+ ions), and acid/base reactions usually refer to an aqueous solution.
