The question is find the equivalent resistance between a and b.I have attached answer. Just explain me only why current through R1 and R4 ,and R2 and R3 is same .If ratio are same the the current ratio must be same but here current is same.How??.PleaSE explain in detail.

The current is same due to the identical resistances attached along both 6 ohms and 18 ohms respectively in bpth up and botom arms.
So whenever it is asked to find the equivalent resritances and the resitances are similar then assume to have the equal currents flowing both the branches condition when the wheat stone bridge is not followed.
