I have read THE WORD 'TRANSVERSE MOTION' in book of IIT. AND read the formula of transverse velosity and accerlation.Please give information about 'TRANSVERSE MOTION'

Transverse motion. In a transverse wave the particle displacement is perpendicular to the direction of wave propagation. In this  The particles do not move along with the wave; they simply oscillate up and down about their individual equilibrium positions as the wave passes by.
