The points which trisect the line segment joining the points (0,0) and (9,12)

A=(1*9 +2*0)/(1+2)  ,(1*12 +2*0)/(1+2)

  =3 ,4

B =(2*9 +1*0)/(1+2)  ,(2*12 +1*0)/(1+2)

  =6 ,8
