Is carbon dioxide can be produced while lactic acid fermentation in human body, though it is impossible for the other organisms but is it possible for human beings?

During lactic acid fermentation glucose is first converted to 3 carbon pyruvate(CH3COCOO-)and pyruvate is further reduced to lactate (CH3CHOHCOO-). Lactate is also 3 carbon molecule therefore there is no release of CO2.
