Dear Student,
Object distance = 40 cm
Focal length 20 cm
From the mirror formula
1/v+1/u = 1/f
1/v+ 1/40 = 1/20
1/v =1/40
V = 40 cm
Magnification size = -v/u
= 40/40 = 1
Size of object = 1.5 cm
Then size of image will also be 1.5 cm.
Object distance = 40 cm
