Since particle is performing SHM , therefore maximum frequency of sound received by receiver will be , when source is at mean position and moving towards reciever.     
In case of minimum frequency the source must be at origin and moving away from the reciever 
 
Take velocity at mean position as Aw
You might be thinking about extreme postion but at that instant the velocity of source will be zero and reciever recieves the original frequency.
