Hy priya You can get the foot of perpendicular on a line from a point by First of all take a general point on the line in terms of some constant k .. Then get the drs of the line joining the general point and the given point... Let`s suppose that the general point is the foot of perpendicular so the line from the general point to the given point will be perpendicular to the given line.. Use perpendicularity condition to get the value of k and put it in your general point to get the foot of perpendicular... Hope U like it..
