Here is a question for geek s na ..

Generally in measuring temperature using different scales we use different thermometers .

I have seen a formula for measuring the temperature as

T = 100 (L-L_i) / (L_s-L_i) ⁰ C

in the specified example given below.

Cosider two thermometers made of different materials and with different liquids inside.

Let the readings of them differ in naming 1& 2.

Then my doubt is is ,

If we considered L_i , L_s values with respect to thermometers .(as they are different)

will the temperatures t₁ , t₂ are same .
