The correct answer is a , because the scale can give correct reading at only 0°C and now temperature is 25°C . Now , let us say that when temperature of scale was 0°C then 1cm. of scale was equal to 1 unit , but now temperature is increased so length of scale is also increased , so distance between the centimetres also increased . Let us say now 1cm. is equal to 1.2 unit. According to ques. the length of the object is 10cm but actually it is more than 10cm. as only the length of scale has increased but not of the object of which the length is more than 10cm.
