Will the value of Avogadro`s constant change if the reference is changed? for eg, if 1 amu is now defined as 1/24th the mass of carbon atom?

value nof avagadro number is independent of amu.hence it will remain constant.its simply a number which is equal to 6.023*10^23

We have chosen amu to be 1/12 of carbon atom since carbon is a very common element and also amu of the other elements are almost whole numbers. Lightest atom a mass of approximately.

So, Avogadro’s constant will change if we change the reference to 1/24th mass of carbon atom(it will not be a whole number).

Thanks & Regards,
