hi,this is gayathri. im appearing for IIT-JEE 2012.could you please let me know the weightage of chapters for IIT-JEE 2012. and,can i crack JEE if i start my work now? the exam is on april 8th.
gayathri , iit jee has no such definite pattern .
the weightage differs every year.
though some topics such as calculus,optics,mechanic,and inorganic chemistry are often asked .
it would be very dificult if you start from nowonwards dont take it bad but i think that you should now start focussing on other exams such as AIEEE and BITSAT.

there is no particular weightage, but there are some chapters which constitutes major of jee paper.
Physics : mechanics , electricity and magnetism, modern physics
Chemistry : Organic , p block , coordination compounds
Maths : integral and differential calculus , coordinate geometry
well iit jee is far more difficult than cbse board, starting jee level at this time wud not help. my advice is go through ncerts for all mentioned topics and try previous years iit jee papers.
