The correct option is (a) a solid.
When the compression, tensile and shearing forces are applied to the solid, there is a reaction force that balances the corresponding applied three forces. Under the applied three forces, solid are in equilibrium with only minimal changes in their shapes and sizes. Thus, they support the three given forces. Therefore, Option (a) is correct.
Liquids are highly incompressible. They cannot provide reaction forces when compression and shearing forces are applied to them. But they can support tensile forces. Thus, liquids do not support all the given three forces. Therefore, option (b) is not correct.
