Three rods of length AC = BC = a, and AB = 2 1/2 a ,and each rod having mass 'm' are joined together to form a right angled triangle. Find the moment of inertia of a right angled triangle about an axis perpendicular to its plane and passing through its centroid.side AC = BC = a.

Hi
Your solution is

Taking point C as origin
if we find the centriod, it would be (a/3,a/3)
moment of inertia along c.o.m of each rod will be ma2/12
by applying parallel axes theorem
you will get your answer

Thanks
