Let is start with initial velocity u at t=0.At t=4s its velocity v=u+ft=u+4f.
v2=u2+2fs
or,s=(v2-u2)/2f=(8f+16f2)/2f=4+8f=24(given)
or,8f=20
Or,4f=10
so v=u+10
From t=4s to 8s particle's initial velocity is u+10.
Final velocity v=u+10+ft=u+10+4f=u+20
And s=(20u+300)/2f=(20u+300)/5=4u+60=64 given.
So 4u=4
Or,u=1 m/s
