take bus as observer so, acceleration of bus = -2m/s 2 by using equation of motion 96 = 20t – 2t 2 /2 so, 96 = 20t – t 2 on solving we get t = 12 and 8 the answer will be 8 seconds because at t=12 seconds they will cross each other for second time.
