why we cant define potential energy corresponding to non conservative internal forces such as friction ???cant we do it by including one more term in term of the expression for potential energy/

Energy corresponding to conservative internal forces is easy to calculate but in case of non conservative forces like against friction it would be difficult to calculate as work done is converted into heat.
