Dear Student
A disproportionation reaction is a reaction in which a single element undergoes reduction and oxidation i.e in Cu2O Cu has an oxidation state of +1 and in cu it has 0(i.e reduction)
and +1 to +2(i.e oxidation)
Hope this helps
Good luck
