Explanation:
β black phosphorus has a layered structure in which each phosphorus atom is covalently bonded to three neighbouring P atoms.
The atoms within the layer are more strongly bonded to atoms in adjacent layers. This gives β black phosphorus graphite like structure.
α black phosphorus are monoclinic or rhombohedral crystals and are non conductors of electricity unlike  β  Phosphorus.
