1/2 GT2 = H ,get time (vertical velocity is zero)

horizontal dierction has no acceleration, therefore D is VT. D is the disrance by which it missed.

1500 = 1/2gt 2

get the time from here and put it ;

x = vt

v = 500 x 5/18 in mks units .

and now substitute for x to get ur answer

U can use R=u√(2h/g)
While subsituting rught values u will get yr answer
G= gravity ( here)
R= distance btw them
H= height
U=u but in horizontal motion
