The resistance of a capacitor (capacitive reactance ) varies inversely with frequency. so if frequency increases the resistance decreases and vice versa.
if frequency of AC source is decreased , resistance increases so flow of current decreases.
Xc= 1/2πfC
C is the capacitance and f is the frequency
