The string is drawn out of the vertical by applying a force 50 N to the weight at point B as shown in fig Q. In what direction must this force be applied in order that in equilibrium, the direction of the string from the vertical may have its greatest value.What is the amount of greatest deflection. Find also the tension in the string. ( Ans α=90 degree ; β = 30 degree ; S = 86.6 N )

Which says
 
T1/ sin alpha = T2/ sin beta = T3/ sin gamma
