I am studying in Nios.i wanted to know if I am eligible for appearing in iit jee or not or will they accept my certificate

NIOS board is a central board just as relevent as the CBSE or ISC so there is no chance for your certificates to be rejected.Also NIOS is mentioned in the list of recognized boards in information brouchure issued by JEE MAIN official website.

Are core branches(Mechanical) in Top 3 NIT worth it ?

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
