Hai,Here my doubt is that without allowing the calculators etc. into the competitive exam centers like IIT,AIEEE , how can one determine the values like log, and trigonometric values of different cases.

Generally in JEE they give questions in such a manner that there is very little calculation or there is use of smart calculation. if log values to be used then they will ask for approximate values and some values you should remember so that you can calculate other log values using log formulas.
