WHY PHENOL HAS MORE ACIDIC THAN ALCOHOL
hey Rajan...
phenol is more acidin than alcohol because of its stability by losing proton. it goes extra stable by de localisation of charges i.e resonance!! so it goes very stable...!! negative charge gets seperated on ring!! hence.. i tends to lose proton easily and behave as stronger acid.
hope this helped you..keep up good work!!! :)
best of luck..latesh
