Prove and proof is a mathematical or philosophical concept and so perhaps not an accurate term. Is it consistent with a common creator? Absolutely - in fact that is a logical prediction one would make in the case of creation or common design. Why is that a logical prediction if common design is true? Because examples of what you describe are ubiquitous among things known to be the product of creation.

No. They would point towards evolution, as the similarities occur in the tree structure which comes as a consequence of evolution. Certainly an intelligent designer could do things in that way, but why would he, and is it just a coincidence that this is the way things would inevitably be with evolution? So the similarities between species are not evidence, let alone proof of a designer, and are only consistent with one because ANY system is consistent with miraculous creation.
