Please explain me about exponent of prime p in n!

Dear Vikash ,

 let us suppose you have to find the exponent of a prime number p in n!

you have to find [n/p]+[n/p2] +[n/p2]+[n/p2].........upto we get 0

where [ ] represents greatest integer

the above expression will give the power of prime in n!
