(1+2x-3x^2)^4 = 81x^8-216x^7+108x^6+120x^5-74x^4-40x^3+12x^2+8x+1
this is easily done by letting 2x – 3x^2=y, so that we can expand (1+y)^4 easily by binomial theorem and then applying binomial theorem once again to expand the remaining powers of y=2x – 3x^2.
