There are 15 cards numbered 1 to 15. You draw 9 cards out of them. What is the probability that 7 would be the median of the chosen cards?

Bro it's a question related to permutation and combination. The condition is
_ _ _ _ 7 _ _ _ _
If we arrange the chosen no. in ascending order then for 7 to be the median it should be in middle.
The LHS of 7 you have to select 4 numbers from 1-6 and to arrange them there is one way. Similar is the case with RHS part.
Therefore probab
  1. P= (6C4 × 8C4×1)÷ (15C9)
  2. Solving we get P= 30/143
