The unshaded regionMake a square there so u get a small square and 4 semicirclesSide of small square=4cmRadius of 1 semicircle=2cmSo area of shaded region= area of big square -(Area of small square +area of semicircle ×4)=side^2-(side^2 + pi r^2/2 ×4=14×14-(4×4 + 22/7 × 2×2×2)=196-(16+25.15)=196-41.15=154.85cm^2
