KVPY 2022: The KVPY exam will not be conducted from 2022 onwards. The Department of Science and Technology has decided to subsume the KVPY with INSPIRE.
KVPY or Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a national-level fellowship programme in the field of Basic Sciences. Every year, IISc Bangalore used to conduct the KVPY aptitude test. It was funded by the DST (Department of Science), the Government of India. This fellowship programme was launched in 1999 until 2021 when DST announced to discontinue the separate aptitude test for the KVPY fellowship and decided to submerge it with the INSPIRE scheme run by the Government of India.
As per the KVPY fellowship, students used to get scholarships and contingency grants until the pre-PhD level. Here are some details about the exam.
